What is ReBit?

ReBit is an iOS audio player for language learning. It splits imported audio into short repeatable chunks and provides repeat playback, notes, favorites, learning records, on-device AI transcripts, and optional iCloud sync.

How many audio files can I import?

ReBit does not impose a numerical limit on imported audio files. The actual amount you can store depends on the available storage on your device and, when sync is enabled, your available iCloud storage.

Where are my audio files and learning data stored?

ReBit stores imported audio, chunks, transcripts, notes, favorites, learning records, folders, and playback positions on the device.

In the current version, iCloud sync is enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings. When enabled, supported data is stored in the user’s private iCloud account and synchronized across devices using the same Apple Account. Changes to the sync setting take effect after the app is reopened.

Does ReBit upload my audio files?

ReBit does not upload imported audio to a server operated by ReBit.

When iCloud sync is enabled, audio and learning data may be transferred to and stored in the user’s private iCloud account so they can be synchronized across devices. Apple provides and operates the iCloud service.

How are AI transcripts generated?

Transcript generation starts only when the user chooses to run it. ReBit downloads the selected speech-recognition model and processes the selected audio on the device. Imported audio is not sent to a ReBit-operated server or to the model hosting service for transcription.

Generated transcripts can be edited or copied and exported as SRT or VTT files. Results may vary depending on audio quality, pronunciation, background noise, selected language, and model.

Why does ReBit download a speech-recognition model?

On-device transcription requires a model to be stored on the device. Available models differ in size, speed, and accuracy. The model can be deleted later from ReBit Settings and downloaded again when needed.

A network connection is required to download the model. The model files are currently obtained through WhisperKit from a third-party model hosting service.

How do I use iCloud sync?

Open ReBit Settings and use the iCloud sync option. Sync requires an available iCloud account and sufficient iCloud storage. After changing the setting, close and reopen the app so the new storage mode can be applied.

Synchronization may take some time depending on the audio file size, network connection, and iCloud status. Audio added on another device may show a downloading state until its iCloud file is available locally.

What happens when I delete data or uninstall ReBit?

Deleting an audio item inside ReBit removes its associated chunks and learning data. When iCloud sync is active, the deletion may also be synchronized to other devices.

Deleting the app removes local app data from that device, but data previously synchronized to iCloud may remain in iCloud. Synced data can be managed by deleting items in ReBit while sync is active or through Apple’s iCloud storage management tools.

Does ReBit display advertisements?

Yes. ReBit is free and may display advertisements provided through Google AdMob. The current version requests non-personalized advertising and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission for cross-app tracking.

Ad availability may vary by region, network status, and the advertising provider’s requirements.

Does ReBit offer paid features or in-app purchases?

No. The current version of ReBit is provided free of charge and does not offer paid features, advertisement removal, subscriptions, or other in-app purchases. Advertisements may be displayed while using the app.

I found a bug. What should I send?

Please email a description of the issue, your device model, iOS version, ReBit app version, and screenshots or screen recordings if available. For playback or synchronization issues, it is also helpful to mention the audio format and whether iCloud sync was enabled.

몇 개의 오디오를 가져올 수 있나요?

ReBit은 가져오는 음원 개수에 별도의 수량 제한을 두지 않습니다. 실제 저장 가능한 양은 기기의 사용 가능한 저장 공간과, 동기화를 사용할 경우 iCloud의 사용 가능한 저장 공간에 따라 달라집니다.

오디오 파일과 학습 데이터는 어디에 저장되나요?

가져온 오디오, 청크, 스크립트, 메모, 즐겨찾기, 학습 기록, 폴더와 재생 위치는 기기에 저장됩니다.

현재 버전에서는 iCloud 동기화가 기본적으로 활성화되며 설정에서 끌 수 있습니다. 동기화를 사용하면 지원되는 데이터가 사용자의 개인 iCloud 계정에 저장되고, 같은 Apple 계정을 사용하는 기기 사이에서 동기화됩니다. 동기화 설정 변경은 앱을 다시 열 때 적용됩니다.

ReBit이 오디오 파일을 서버로 업로드하나요?

ReBit은 사용자가 가져온 오디오를 ReBit이 운영하는 별도 서버로 업로드하지 않습니다.

다만 iCloud 동기화를 사용하면 음원과 학습 데이터가 기기 간 동기화를 위해 사용자의 개인 iCloud 계정으로 전송되어 저장될 수 있습니다. iCloud 서비스는 Apple이 제공합니다.

AI 스크립트는 어떻게 생성되나요?

사용자가 직접 스크립트 생성을 실행할 때만 음성 인식이 시작됩니다. ReBit은 선택한 음성 인식 모델을 기기로 다운로드하고, 선택한 오디오를 기기 안에서 처리합니다. 가져온 오디오는 스크립트 생성을 위해 ReBit 서버나 모델 제공 서버로 전송되지 않습니다.

생성된 스크립트는 직접 수정하거나 복사할 수 있으며 SRT 또는 VTT 파일로 내보낼 수 있습니다. 인식 결과는 음질, 발음, 주변 소음, 선택한 언어와 모델에 따라 달라질 수 있습니다.

음성 인식 모델은 왜 다운로드하나요?

기기 내 스크립트 생성을 위해서는 음성 인식 모델이 기기에 저장되어야 합니다. 모델마다 용량, 처리 속도와 정확도가 다릅니다. 다운로드한 모델은 ReBit 설정에서 삭제할 수 있으며 필요할 때 다시 다운로드할 수 있습니다.

모델 다운로드에는 네트워크 연결이 필요합니다. 현재 모델 파일은 WhisperKit을 통해 제3자 모델 호스팅 서비스에서 다운로드됩니다.

iCloud 동기화는 어떻게 사용하나요?

ReBit 설정에서 iCloud 동기화 옵션을 사용할 수 있습니다. 동기화에는 사용 가능한 iCloud 계정과 충분한 iCloud 저장 공간이 필요합니다. 설정을 변경한 뒤 앱을 종료하고 다시 열면 새로운 저장 방식이 적용됩니다.

음원 크기, 네트워크 연결과 iCloud 상태에 따라 동기화에 시간이 걸릴 수 있습니다. 다른 기기에서 추가한 음원은 iCloud 파일을 내려받는 동안 다운로드 중으로 표시될 수 있습니다.

데이터를 삭제하거나 앱을 삭제하면 어떻게 되나요?

ReBit 안에서 음원을 삭제하면 해당 음원의 청크와 학습 데이터도 함께 삭제됩니다. iCloud 동기화가 활성화된 경우 삭제 내용이 다른 기기에도 동기화될 수 있습니다.

앱을 삭제하면 해당 기기의 로컬 앱 데이터는 제거되지만, 이전에 iCloud에 동기화된 데이터는 iCloud에 남아 있을 수 있습니다. 동기화된 데이터는 iCloud 동기화가 활성화된 ReBit에서 항목을 삭제하거나 Apple의 iCloud 저장 공간 관리 기능을 통해 관리할 수 있습니다.

광고가 표시되나요?

네. ReBit은 무료로 제공되며 Google AdMob을 통한 광고가 표시될 수 있습니다. 현재 버전은 비맞춤형 광고를 요청하며 앱 간 추적을 위한 App Tracking Transparency 권한을 요청하지 않습니다.
